One of the first side effects of pregnancy that I experienced was the persistent need to throw things away. I've always known myself to be a little bit of a hoarder, I love saving things, I get it from my grandmother. However, once I was carrying my baby, I was ready to throw away everything. Probably because anything and everything made me nauseous in that first few months.
I also knew I was beginning a new chapter in life and was ready to get rid of any clutter and organize what was left. I became a regular at the Container Store to find new ways to organize things. What I found while organizing my life away, was that I got better at it and began to organize everyone else's homes too. Clients, friends, even local boutiques.
Organizing is a different form of therapy and while I had always been pretty organized, this new super organizer part of me, was experiencing all these new life benefits. So, I will share what I found with you....
1. YOU WILL AMPLIFY YOUR STYLE GAME
...and your clothes will last longer. Not only does an organized closet help you to get ready faster and give you more confidence when dressing because you know what you have, but you will also feel much more inclined to take care of your things because you know they are there. When things are stuffed in drawers or hidden, you tend to forget about them. When things are organized and on display, you will clean out your handbag, make sure your shoes are in good condition, etc. It helps you to be much more aware and caring for your things. You will be much more equipped to show off your styling abilities. GLAM-shui tip: this also screams to the Universe that you take care of what you have, so you will begin to attract more!
2. YOU WILL SLEEP BETTER.
Organization is good for the mind, it calms you and when you are calm and not frantic, you will fall into deeper sleep. If this doesn't encourage you to be better organized, I'm not sure what else could. Sleeping well is so essential to your wellbeing, it effects EVERYTHING in your life, your weight, your skin, your body, etc. If you want to improve anything in life, begin with focusing on your sleeping. Organization and decluttering will help with that.
3. YOU WILL BE MORE A CONFIDENT PERSON.
Confidence is one of the most important qualities you could work on in this life. Confident people are more attractive in any aspect, so if I could give any advice it would probably be something about confidence. Clutter affects your confidence. Confidence is essential for happiness, bliss, heath, work success, relationship success, etc. Having a lot of "stuff" in your life is a huge drain to your energy. When you are holding on to so many "things" and "experiences", you are blocking new, vibrant energy from coming into your life. Keeping your energy field open and clean will completely increase your self care level. That impacts your confidence.
4. YOU WILL MAKE MORE MONEY
...and be so much more successful. Organization breeds effectiveness, focus, clarity, decision making skills. All of these things lend to improving success in work and business. If you are looking to get a raise, make more money & sales, attract better clients, you must get organized. Clear out any clutter in your office, throw things away, invest in better office supplies and get super organized! You will feel better about yourself, feel better about the work that you do and be more aligned with your purpose on this earth. What could be more blissful than that?
