Boy oh boy, it has been a while since I have written on this blog. I have missed it so much. In case you have missed it, for the past few weeks I have been fully immersed in the new mom life. There is nothing quite like having a newborn at home, it's pretty life changing. Aside from being up every couple hours at night, I've probably consumed more coffee than I ever have before. I fully have a new found respect for moms, especially mommies of multiples.
Having said all of that, my love of home & living has not ceased at all. In fact, I have been feeling more inspired than ever. I spend a lot of time looking at homes, the real estate in Austin is always so exciting to me. I came across a home with such a gorgeous meditation room and it made me want to buy the home. I was obsessed. An entire room dedicated to chilling yourself out, forgetting your worries, tending to your mental health and physical health too. What a fabulous luxury?
As I sit and look around my home filled with baby contraptions, I can't help but want to incorporate beautiful things that represent what meditation is. If you are surrounded by things that inspire you to be and live more calmly, you can't help but practice the habit of calm. I always like to tell my clients, you can use your home as a real life vision board. Design a home to reflect the life you want to lead. So, if you have been scattered, feeling the need to meditate more or center yourself (which I currently can totally relate to)..add some meditation glamour to your living space.
Here are a few things I have my eye on that would get you this look:
I would start with a beautiful rug to determine the space. Even if you can't dedicate an entire room to it, you can use a rug to separate an area for your meditation zone. I absolutely love this overdyed pink rug.
White pillow with gold Buddha head, this adds a modern yet spiritual touch.
I just love these jute poufs. They really give that boho beachy vibe.
Several of these mongolian fur pillows make the space so cozy and zen.
How fabulous is this yoga mat? Any true Decorista must have this!
