I often get asked how I discovered my passion or how did I know I wanted to be an interior designer. For me, it was a bit like falling in love. In college, my friend and I went to visit a hot new boutique hotel in a nearby city. The moment I walked into the lobby I was obsessed with the hotel. The design, the ambiance, the environment, it just captivated me. We ended up getting a tour of the hotel and several of the rooms because I just couldn't stop gushing over it.
That next morning I woke up still thinking about how much I loved the design and how it really intoxicated me. I knew in my soul that interior design was the career for me, I didn't want anything else in the world. I had goosebumps that day and almost cried when I finally recognized what it is that I was meant to do. Ever since that day I have always had a fondness for boutique hotels and it is my dream to one day, design one.
In one of Kanye West's songs he says "I just want to design hotels and nail it" . It really resonates me. I just love boutique hotels. Shortly after that weekend trip, I can remember it was September 25, I discovered Kelly Wearstler and my muse was born. Her hotels were to die for and I became obsessed. Which is why I love hotels so much. Today I am sharing a new little boutique beauty I found while perusing Instagram, Henrietta Hotel in London. Feast your eyes on the highly unique style. I just adore it.
