If you are on my VIP love letter list you should know about this already, for the rest of you. . .I'm moving into a new condo and I am totally jazzed about it. For a decorista this means, time to redecorate! Decorating a new home feels like Christmas to me, its SUCH an exciting time and I am so excited to share the journey with all of you. So, let me give you a little tour of the main area. . .
KITCHEN:
I have a glass chandelier, similar to this one and I think I will hang it in the kitchen to add a little glamour. Then I'll need some really fab stools to go with it. I only want brass, even though everything in the kitchen is brushed silver. I love to mix metallics. The bar is counter height, so I will need some shorter stools. Here are a few I have my eyes on. . .
Basically all the walls are going to be black, so I am going for a lot of white and gold to be the palette. Love this shot from Zgallerie, its totally inspiring me right now.
One thing I already have is this black Marciano rug from Arhaus. I was obsessed with it for years and they discontinued it. So, I bought one a few months back even before I knew where my next home would be. It's totally me, a black version of the popular moroccan rug. So I am thinking I will need a white sofa to go along next to it. I'm kind of obsessed with rugs, they are like art for the floor and I like to use them as the jumping off point for any room I design.
Some white sofas to go with:
I'll be putting my home office area over in this nook. Across from the tv/storage zone. What a fabulous view to stare into while I am working from home, no?
The first area I am beyond excited to get together is the entry hallway. You always want to make sure this area is bangin' because this is the first thing guests see when they come over. It has to be fabulous.
Here is my inspiration. I've always loved this entry look. Minus the light and rug.
Here is the layout to give you an idea. I'll cover the bed/bath/closet area in another post. Baby steps.
A few more things I am considering. . .
Stay tuned!
