Over the weekend, I went to a fun girls weekend sleepover bash at a friends house. You've got to love a good girls weekend with wine, pool time, face masks, movies and Justin Timberlake SNL you tube video watching. Good times. My problem is, well I should say my friends problem is that I love to help finish a halfway decorated room. When someone says "I just don't know what I want in here". It's like I'm a super hero and I hear a little girl screaming for help. I can't resist adding my two cents.
So, first thing, she's got an incredibly cool shaped breakfast nook with great windows and a fab view of the pool. That's nothing a little trip to World Market can't fix. Have you seen their dining table and chairs? They are fab! Affordable, great style and super comfy too.
I'm obsessed with their Louis style chairs. The plum is stunning in person & right now online the one with arms is cheaper than the one without. I would do two with arms & two without. I was inspired by the breakfast nook above, the Jonathan Adler chandelier looks so good, but West Elm makes one just as chic, and its half the price. For the table, you can get a round glass tabletop at Pier 1 for less than $100. The 42" table will be a good size for a small breakfast nook. This base is a perfect base for any nook. My tip: spray paint it gold if you want to add some glam. Throw in some peonies. I'm also currently obsessed with this gold & mother of pearl flatware set from Anthropologie. It will make any breakfast area sparkle.
