After a week of shopping all over town, I have come to the conclusion that Kate Spade and Jonathan Adler stores are my new home away from home.  NYC can be a bit dreary and walking into places with playful and fun decor is the ultimate delight. So, this sunday I am relishing in the look of a pretty and colorful decorating scheme. I'm fascinated by the use of color...makes me very very happy.

Style-icious Sunday {Gaudy and Glamorous Gypset Style}

As the days get warmer and warmer here in the city, more colors are coming out. As many of you know by now I am absolutely in love with color! Color makes me think of travel, luxury and decadence. All that is on my mind right now is that bohemian, gorgeous and glamorous 'gypset style'. Colorful fabrics, flowing caftans, beautiful prints, shimmering metallics, and lots and lots of layers. Can't you just imagine vanilla and jasmin candles burning, hearing the waves crash outside your window and sipping tea atop layers of lush pillows. So dreamy!

My posts have been rather sparse lately, mostly because I have been in LA. Its been such a good time to relax and recharge. So, thank you for your patience with me. I missed this last Sunday's "Style-icious Sunday". Today, as I am jetting back to New York (so excited to get back), I wanted to recreate my style-i-cious inspiration for the week for you. Life in NYC is fabulous...don't get me wrong, but sometimes I feel like I just need to take a nap. There is so much going on in the city and now that the weather is getting better I am dreaming of a nice vacation to the south of France. I'd love to take in the sights, the gorgeous weather and the absolutely dreamy decor. Elegant moldings, delicate details, ornate pieces, layers and layers of super luxurious textiles, and the most amazing views your heart could dream of...

Styleicious Sunday...NYC city girl living

Life in nyc just gets better and better. The weather is so amazing today. Decor shopping and strolling city streets of gorgeous neighborhoods has never been more enjoyable. A lovely sunday in the city is the perfect ending to another fabulous week. Loving the vibes...the street style...chic apartments and killer shops. oh and starbucks, too!

Style-icious Sunday {romantically red and in love}

With Valentine's Day approaching tomorrow love is definitely in the air and red is everywhere in the city. Pops of red are all in the beautifully decorated store windows, it's so delightful to see. Today I am inspired by the look of love, red and all things romantic. 

How delicious are all red walls in a library? 

I am completely coveting these shoes...ooh la la...the perfect V-day accessory.

There is nothing that says LOVE like Oscar de la Renta red!

Sometimes, something as a simple pop of red in a chandelier can be so dramatic and fun.

Style-icious Sunday {mad about NEON}

I don't know if its the white + snowy winter here in nyc or what but I am craving everything NEON. It's like a pop of happiness in any weather or in any room for that matter. I'm loving hot pink lips, bright green lamps in otherwise muted rooms, pops of neon colored artwork, bright purple nail polish, anything neon lucite, yellow handbags and neon blue walls. This relaxing sunday I am taking inspiration from the gorgeous fluorescent colors of the world...they are all the rage and oh so glam!

 There is something about these NYC streets and the fashion that saturates them. Each outfit is so very different than the next. It inspires me in that I remember not everything has to be so "put-together". Eclectic style is every bit as stylish as the next, and probably a lot more inspiring than others. 
Today I just want to luxuriate in the rooms that are inspired by this kind of look. Curious, colorful and filled with mixings of the most fabulous of textiles (suzanis + furs + plush velvets, oh my).

Style-icious Sunday {parisian glam panache}

There is something so enchanting about parisian glamour. The decor is so timeless, elegant and lovely.
Ornate gold pieces and light blues are often found in places like this. I love when the look is mixed with a bit of modern too... It can really take it to another level. I guess I'm smitten with the look.

The weather in LA is incredibly gorgeous today, but I'm craving for an afternoon of tea and old black and white films...preferably the ones set in Paris...with subtitles.

Style-icious Sunday {sophisticated birthday elegance}

sophistication.... elegance... femininity...
are everything I want to feel this coming week because its my birthday week and I'm turning the big 3-0!
I am absolutely so excited about this birthday and the coming year. My best girlfriends and I are heading down to Miami to luxuriate in the beauty of palm trees and tanning lotion. We love to play and shop on Lincoln and the Miami design district is always a fun treat. Facials, pedicures, and lounging in robes is our mission. It makes me appreciate all of the elements of sophisticated style that I want to experience this year. Ooh la la.
So in love with all things elegant and feminine....

Style-icous Sunday {bohemian luxe}


The warm and lovely essence I feel when I am in Austin, my hometown, is intoxicating! catching the chic boho luxe look around this town just makes me know I'm home... so very similar to LA, too. Flowy fabrics and exotic prints fill the city as well as an abundance of earthy elements flattered by insence and fresh air. If it wasn't so cold here I'd be wearing a lovely long and flowy caftan and big sunnies as I shop my favorite spots today. Post-Holiday shopping is always madness, but I love being out on the town, having brunch at the very chic Austin hotspots and shopping down on so-co.

Style-icious Sunday {soft & modern Glamour}

It's a rainy Sunday here in Los Angeles, nothing like ever before. Rain makes me think of glamour for some reason. Burning candles, soft sunlight through the windows and watching old black and white romantic movies...sounds like a blissful day to me! 
Today I am reveling in the magic of soft yet modern glamour decorating. Makes me want to get all dressed up for church today...maybe a little overdressed would be perfection.
