This is a post all about 6 things your bedroom must have, especially if you’re trying to feng shui.
This year, inside of the House of Bliss membership, we are focusing on a Year of Yin, Yin is the feminine energy polarity of Yin and Yang according to ancient Eastern traditions.
With a focus on slowing down, embracing the moment and living in flow...we will be slowly enhancing our own personal life embodiment.
In Feng Shui, the second most important room that you want to focus on, right after the front door/ entryway is the bedroom. It's the room that YOU spend the most time in, the room that reflects your inner self and because you spend so much passive time (sleeping) in the bedroom, the energy in that room affects you the most.
Basically, the bedroom symbolizes YOU. The changes that you make in here will be the most impactful on you and your life. So, I thought I would share with you a few things you could do this weekend to your bedroom to raise the energy of your most special self love sanctuary.
6 things your bedroom needs for creating a high vibrational home
1. Good bedding.
Pink sheets have always been my favorite because I love sleeping on sheets that hold the color energy of love, self love and compassion. Read this post to learn more about it. Or, get a solid fabric headboard with a color and style that you love. Color has an effect on you when you sleep, refer to this chart here when selecting your color of choice. For me, pink always comes first.
With a new year, it is always a good idea to refresh your bed with fresh new sheets and bed covers. I treated myself to this gorgeous dusty pink velvet duvet and pillows. I am in love with it. You want to make your bed every morning and really get into the experience. Always romanticize the mundane experiences in your life to amplify your bliss at home. I like to spray fresh linen spray on my sheets so that every time I get into the bed, it smells delicious, too.
HOT TIP: A pair of pink pillows will always draw in harmonious partnership 💕
2. Air purifying plants.
Plants are my favorite way to bring in the Feng Shui energy of healing and growth. The color green enhances the vibrancy of life and brings more of that high vibe energy into your space. I have a snake plant by my bed because they actually have properties that help the skin regenerate while you sleep.
If your bedroom doesn’t have much light for natural plants, I highly suggest artificial because it will trick your mind into thinking there is life in your bedroom. Hang them in a corner where you see them upon waking up. This one is really beautiful and will go with your pink sheets.
3. A symbol of happiness and joy.
For me, I fell absolutely in love with a dream catcher when I was in Tulum, so I decided to hang mine about the bed because it is a very special travel memory for me. You want to be sure that anything you hang on the walls in your bedroom brings you positive energy and cultivates bliss for you.
Think about things you love and how you can incorporate them into your bedroom as art. Like, framing a menu from your favorite restaurant, a map of your favorite city, lyrics from your favorite song or anything that lights you up.
4. Vision Board.
I keep my vision board near where I can see it as soon as I wake up and right before I go to bed. I do this so I can keep myself in the state of visualizing all of my manifestations fulfilled. I get more into this in detail in my Vision Board Bliss workshop. Framing your vision board and hanging it on the wall helps you to solidify your vision and connect to it’s vibe as a daily ritual.
How pretty is this bulletin board?
5. Aromatherapy.
I am obsessed with using essential oils in the bedroom, especially for sleep. I keep ylang-ylang and jasmine oils in my bedroom when I am spending the day relaxing in bed, so that the air I breathe in has a revitalizing effect on me.
In the mornings, I may mix in a little citrus for invigoration. At night, I use mixes with calming oils like lavender and vanilla. I LOVE this one with a remote control, its the BEST!
6. Crystals.
Of course, I couldn’t leave out my most favorite decor accessory, Crystals. In the bedroom use Rose Quartz for love and Amethyst for abundance and spirituality. I also keep Pink Opal on my nightstand to bring calm and inner peace. There is also a pyrite to keep grounded, it’s a good Root Chakra crystal. I break down ALL of the crystals for the home in my book How To Manifest Using Crystals.
Happy Weekend Decorating, friends.
